Paluma Range National Park and Rainforest Village
Paluma Range National Park fantastic tropical rainforest and some great walking tracks around the park. There are several pretty waterfalls which you can visit, and plenty of animals to see. There are also a few driving tracks and bush walks through the National Park.
Jourama Falls and Wallaman Falls, Tyto Wetlands
Jourama Falls has a terrace of cascading waterfalls and freshwater swimming holes. It is surrounded by palms and lush tropical trees and is an excellent spot for bird watching, with many varieties spotted daily. There is a one and a half kilometre walk to the falls lookout and several picnic areas around.

Wallaman Falls is the tallest single drop waterfall in Australia. A steep 1km switchback path leads to the base of the falls. There is a camping area upstream from the falls at The Rock Pools.
Golf Course, Lawn Bowls and Tennis at Mystic Sands
This golf course is a gem. Located in secluded Mystic Sands which is 60km north of Townsville the course has wonderful privacy and you experience all the wonders of the bush as you walk the nine holes. With a vast array of bird life and wildlife to tantalise your senses. Make sure you play this course if you get a chance.

Balgal Beach Boat Ramp
Balgal Beach is part of the Northern beaches precinct of Thuringowa. Balgal Beach is accessible approximately 55 kilometres north of the Thuringowa central business district, along the Bruce Highway. Balgal Beach is a beachside community popular with day visitors and tourists. The beach features an excellent boat ramp with easy access to the Palm Island Group. Balgal is a superb sand beach with a wide creek mouth and is a renowned beach and river fishing location.
Paronella Park
Experience this truly unique North Queensland tourist attraction incorporating guided tours, indigenous aboriginal cultural performances, bush tucker walks, self-guided botanical walks and night tour. Originally created in the 1930's by José Paronella, a man with a dream, Paronella Park continues to be enjoyed by visitors from near and far.
